I've misplaced my last three pairs of sunglasses, all of which I bought since I moved back to Honolulu in February. Not a great track record. Which makes me think I need to try a new strategy -- buying sunglasses that actually mean something.
One pair I'm considering, made by Proof, I've already featured a couple of times already (like in this post about men's beach style). Here it is again, with a few different takes:
I wish I had any idea what these looked like on, because 1. I'd probably be sold, and 2. I'd share it with you!
They also have the bird style with lighter frames, as well as three different frame styles. All of the frames are bamboo, making them sustainable and eco-friendly (which, considering my track record, is important, since I keep misplacing them!).
These glasses are made by Proof, a company whose mission begins with: "At PROOF we believe that good business and social endeavors shouldn't be mutually exclusive." A portion of each purchase goes to an eye clinic in India.
My other sunglasses option is, of course, the lovely Warby Parker. Check 'em:
The Jasper, $95
The Everett (love the faux tortoise shell), $95
Read more about Warby Parker, and their regular glasses, in another post here.
Thoughts on which one I should get? Ideas of other glasses I should check out? I've narrowed it down to these two companies (I know about TOMS and 4Sight, but Proof and Warby Parker topped them for me), but if you have other ideas, holla at your girl.
