My name is Anna, and I'm the magic behind Look & Good. I kicked the blog off after stumbling upon several great products that not only looked awesome, but did great things for others.
The way I see it, the products I write about are much more affordable than your luxury item purchase, and even most department store gear. But the way you value it after, with each story building on another, makes all the difference. You start to see the world, beginning with these creations, as something that has more meaning than consume-and-cast-away. Everything becomes that favorite toy or blanket or playhouse that you refused to give up as a child.
These purchases may save trees, give someone his or her vision back, or allow women to support their families. Somehow, they're certainly doing good. And on the side, I explore how design benefits nonprofits and socially conscious businesses, news of and thoughts on the social innovation/entrepreneurship movement, and how the nonprofit world and international development are being revolutionized.
I also like to toss in a few solely good-lookin', happy-makin', or world-shakin' things here and there. Why not?
